A Hawaiian Airlines return flight from Pago Pago to Honolulu was cancelled on Tuesday after a bird strike caused damage to the aircraft.
No injuries were reported.
In a memo to local authorities, the local Hawaiian station manager, Mitzi Semo, says the airline is awaiting the procurement of a new part, which is tentatively scheduled to arrived on Thursday.
She also says a confirmation of the date and time of the new flight will be announced soon and all passengers from the cancelled flight will be rescheduled on the new flight.
