Reports from Papua say three Indonesian soldiers were shot during a clash with unknown attackers in Kalome village, in Tingginambut district.
The news agency Antara says the attack occurred as a group of Indonesian military officers patrolled the village.
The soldiers have been taken to Jayapura Hospital for treatment.
