The son of renowned undersea explorer the late Jacques Cousteau will make a historic visit to Swains island next month in American Samoa.
Jean-Michel Cousteau's visit is to highlight the natural and cultural history of Swains Island.
He will be accompanied to Swains by American Samoa village chiefs, teachers, students, and staff of Fagatele Marine Sanctuary.
This will be Mr Cousteau's second visit to American Samoa.
Mr Cousteau was first in the territory in 2004 to film a segment for the video Sustainable Reefs: A gift for the future, which featured the Fagatele sanctuary.
