New Caledonia has donated over 200 thousand US dollars to the Vanuatu government to help in the development of education policies.
The money will help the Ministry of Education set up a computer system in Lycee Louis Antoine de Bougainville college.
Its hoped the new computer system at the fracophone school will help students wanting to continue with their studies at University level in New Caledonia.
The amount will also focus on major restructuring program of technical education in Vanuatu.
The minister of education, Charlot Salwai welcomed the assistance by New Caledonia.
Mr Salwai says each year the number of students dropping out of school is increasing because Vanuatu don't have enough space to accommodate all students at secondary level.
