A 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with Samoa's first bank robbery last week.

He was part of a group of four masked men who robbed at gun point a branch of the Westpac bank at Vaitele industrial zone.

A police spokesman says the three other suspects, who got away with more than 100,000 US dollars, are still at large.

The public has been asked by the police for information to help them make an arrest.
