The Tanoa Group says it's still trying to assess the total cost of the damage to its Hotel Tusitala in Samoa.
The hotel was undergoing extensive renovations and upgrades, before being partially gutted by fire in September.
Group general manager, Gordon Wilson, had said before the fire - the company has invested millions on the project to date.
Repair work on damage was interrupted by the recent tsunami two weeks ago.
The Fiji Times reports the Group Human Resources Manager Naveen Lakshmaiya as saying discussions with the relevant parties over costs are ongoing.
The chairman of the Tanoa Hotel Group, YP Reddy, has said they intend to reopen the hotel by mid 2010.
