The founder of Fiji's New Methodist Church, Pastor Atu Vulaono, says its national conference next week will show people how to live a godly life.
The interim government's granted the church a permit to use the TFL national stadium for its crusade, which is expected to attract up to 20,000 people.
This follows the interim regime's crackdown on the established Methodist Church, banning its annual conference, also scheduled for next week, and now its choir competition.
Pastor Vulaono says the established Methodists have lost their connection with the holy spirit, something next week's crusade will show people how to foster.
"Which means I'll be focusing on people to be loyal, people to live a life of God every day, it's not going to church. That's my main message. I'll challenge the people to live a godly life. They don't need the roof of a church, they don't need a pastor, they don't need a policeman, they don't need a supervisor to tell them what to do. They need to live a godly life."
