Fiji's Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase has brushed aside the Military's call for his government to resign.

Speaking from Brisbane, Mr Qarase told Fiji Live that there has been no suggestion of a motion of no confidence.

Earlier an army spokesman, Major Neumi Leweni said the Government had lost all semblance of credibility, integrity and honesty and must immediately resign.

He said revelations disclosed during the High Court case on the so-called Agriculture Scam had shown the government to be implicated in corrupt practices.

But Mr Qarase said the case was still being considered and the outcome was unpredictable.

He stressed that the Military must respect the Constitution and the High Court.

Mr Qarase said he was awaiting word from the President on how to address the on going comments made by the military commander against his Government.
