A witness in Charles Dausabea's preliminary hearing changed his testimony yesterday cancelling out what he had said the day before.
Colin Napuni said he saw Charles Dausabea in Chinatown on April 18th and
had heard him yell at the looters to burn and destroy Chinese property.
In previous testimony Napuni had denied seeing Dausabea at the scene.
Napuni said he had earlier lied to the court because he was scared.
He said police had told him he would testify from a hidden location through
a microphone but when he was brought before the court he took fright.
The court adjourned so that the public solicitors office could provide legal
advice to Napuni.
