MSG leaders to meet in Solomons

Leaders of the Melanesian Spearhead Group, MSG, expect to begin their meeting at Buala, the provincial capital of Isabel Province in Solomon Islands, tomorrow.

Preparations to host the three-day meeting by the Isabel Provincial Government had been going on for weeks at Buala.

Earlier the Provincial Premier, James Habu, says his provincial government and the people of Isabel province are ready to show the leaders Isabel hospitality.

The MSG leaders will be expected to discuss issues of mutual interest to their respective countries.

Free trade among MSG member countries is again expected to be high on the agenda.

Members of the MSG countries are Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu and Solomon Islands.

Kanak leaders from New Caledonia will attend as observers.
