Samoa's Police Commissioner, Papaliitele Loronese Neru says there will be no strike by police officers who are not being paid for overtime work.
Papaliitele acknowledges there had been talk of a strike but when he ordered a meeting of the force noone fronted up as the strike organisers.
The Samoa Observer newspaper had reported that it had been contacted by senior officers to says that a strike was being planned.
The Commissioner says the matter is now behind them.
Meanwhile, efforts are being made to find funds to pay the overtime in a government supplemetary budget to be submitted to parliament next month.
