The Solomon Islands government will today meet aid donors in Honiara to seek more help with the country's economic problems.
The government is to present a four-point plan to restore its finances as the financial and debt situation is unsustainable and in need of urgent attention.
A government statement says to prevent a further slide into poverty, Solomon Islands must stabilise its national finances and promote a recovery led by the private sector and the provinces.
The donors will be told that improving law and order and setting up a federal system are vital parts of the plan.
