Playing England for the medal, the pair (who have already won singles gold and silver respectively) have taken out the bronze.

They came out on top with a 11-6 11-6 win against England.

Paul Coll said yesterday was a tough loss.

"Joelle was incredible. She is a really tough player. She picked me up and kept me going and to be able to bring another medal home for New Zealand is just fantastic.

"It's not the colour we wanted but it's another medal for New Zealand."

King has another match tomorrow - she plays for gold in the women's doubles with Amanda Landers-Murphy. She says it's been a long two weeks.

"The job isn't over yet. I'll do everything tonight to recover and make sure I'm here 100 per cent tomorrow."
