Counting Crows add New Zealand date to world tour
The US rock band will play one show in Auckland in March, 2026 before flying to Australia.
American rock band, Counting Crows, have added a New Zealand and Australian leg to their world tour.
The tour, in support of their first album in over a decade, Butter Miracle, the Complete Sweets! now includes a performance at Auckland's Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre on 23 March, before heading to Australia.
Counting Crows last toured NZ in 2023.
The band picked up popularity following the release of their first album, August and Everything After , in 1993, including the hit 'Mr. Jones'.
Some of their other most popular tracks inclued 'Rain King', 'A Long December' and a cover version of Joni Mitchell's 'Big Yellow Taxi'.
The single Accidentally in Love from the the Shrek 2 soundtrack earned them an Oscar nomination in 2004.
Tickets go on sale on 20 October at 11am.
