The New Zealand women's hockey team has beaten Australia 4-1 in the gold medal match at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

New Zealand led 1-nil at half-time courtesy of a goal to Shiloh Gloyn and then scored two more in the third quarter through Rose Keddell and Olivia Merry.
Australia pegged a goal back in the final quarter to make it 3-1 but the Black Sticks snuffed out any hope of a comeback by the hosts with a fourth goal to Anita McLaren.
It's the first hockey gold medal New Zealand have won at the Commonwealth Games since the sport was introduced to the programme in Kulala Lumpur in 1998.
New Zealand have now won 11 gold medals at the Gold Coast Games.
Goalscorer Shiloh Gloyn was elated with the result.
"It's epic. It's a really good feeling. I'm really happy, it's great to take away a gold and score in the final. I can't describe that feeling."
"When it actually starts sinking in, gold is amazing, and playing at the Commonwealth Games has always been a dream. Just being here is amazing, but to win gold is the epitome of playing hockey for your country."
Scoring the opening goal gave her a "bit of a chill when I realised what I'd just done. It's good to get that goal on the board. It doesn't take the pressure off, but it gets you in the game.
"The team put on an epic performance out there," she said.
