It was a mixed result for New Zealand's swimmers this evening, with only three going through to the finals tomorrow.

In the men's 50m butterfly, Daniel Hunter and Sam Perry both placed third in their respective semi-final heats with new personal bests.
Hunter finished with a time of 23.93s and Perry with 23.99s.
They both go through to the 50m men's butterfly final tomorrow.
New Zealand's swimming medal prospect, Corey Main, also placed third in his semi-final race, but with his time of 55.02 not at fast as this morning, it was an anxious wait for the swimmer to see if it would get him through to the finals.
With the 7th fastest time after the second semi-final race, he will race in the 100m backstroke final tomorrow.
The 23-year-old made the finals of both backstroke events at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Porirua swimmer Bronagh Ryan, who squeezed into the semi-finals tonight in the 15th spot, won't be competing for a medal.
She finished 8th in the 50m breaststroke semi-finals with a time of 32.70s.
Neither of the New Zealand swimmers made it through to the women's 100m butterfly finals.
Despite a clean start, New Zealand record holder Helena Gasson placed 6th in the semi-finals with 59.70s.
And, in the second of the two semi-final races, Georgia Marris came in 8th place -- with a time of 1:00.58s, slower than her heat time this morning.
In the last race for the day, the women's 4x 100m freestyle relay, the New Zealand team finished in fourth place.
Australia, Canada and England had a strong lead throughout the relay, with Australia winning gold and breaking the world record with 3:30.05s.
