    3:06 Classic Concert: The Cure - Live/Paris

Highlights of the 1992 'Wish' world tour, the first half is Live in Paris, and begins with some of the moody soundscapes that built this suburban English band's initial cult following (The Figurehead, Play For Today), moving on to the bittersweet pop which began to built an international audience. (Close To Me, Love Song, Catch) The second half, captured Live in Detroit, Michigan, is a bit of a 'greatest hits' selection from the mid 1980's through to The Cure's 1992 UK chart topper 'Wish', which also went to Number Two in the United States. (Pictures of You, Lullaby, Just Like Heaven, Friday I'm in Love, In Between Days) Anchored by song writer, singer, guitarist Robert Smith - who's teased black hair and lipstick-smeared image is the face that launched a million goths - this lineup of The Cure is a fairly fresh, one, sticking close to the album versions of most songs (Elektra)
