A Nelson College for Girls student wants to start a conversation about how and why the over-sexualisation of teenage girls occurs. And she's doing it by talking about long socks.

17-year-old Madi Fulton Buckle says it all came about after a teacher made a passing comment that over-the-knee socks were "creepy porn-video looking".

So she has made a documentary called The Sexualisation of Socks using humour to hopefully make people think about issues rape culture and the objectification of women.

As we reported earlier this week - there's a bit of fuss over new rules that prohibit restaurants from grilling medium-rare burgers. A visiting specialist food poisoning lawyer from the US, Bill Marler's first major food poisoning case in the US was defending people who became ill after eating burgers which weren't cooked properly.

He has been litigating foodborne illness cases since 1993 - and has won more than 500 million US dollars for victims of food poisoning from the biggest US food companies. Bill Marler is in the country for a food integrity conference.

Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo made crowdfunding history last year, by raising over a million dollars to create the children's book Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls. 100 Tales Of Extraordinary Women.

The book features 100 illustrated stories of inspiring women, in a bid to inspire girls to dream big. The female characters in these fairy tales were no damsels in distress, but women from history who challenged the status quo and achieved great things in all fields.

Francesca Cavallo tells us how the book came about.

1:40 Great Live Album: James Brown live at the Apollo

Live at the Apollo by James Brown and the Famous Flames was recorded at the Apollo Theater in Harlem on the night of October 24, 1962 at Brown's own expense. It was released the following year and  spent 66 weeks on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart, peaking at number 2.

In 2003, the album was ranked number 25 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, and was also ranked as the number 1 live album in its 50 greatest live albums list.

In 1998, it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame
