Kara Rickard
In 2022, Kara joined RNZ, where she hosted the inaugural national celebration of Matariki. A dynamic presenter and broadcaster, Kara brings over 12 years of experience in commercial radio and 20 years across television and media. She currently co-hosts the show On the Air – Mā runga i arere and serves as an alternate presenter for Music 101.
Showcasing her versatility, Kara co-hosted the 2024 Aotearoa Music Awards alongside RNZ Afternoons host Jesse Mulligan, celebrating the achievements of New Zealand's music industry. Additionally, Kara hosts RNZ’s visual podcast Treaty Talks, which provides an accessible and engaging guide to the Treaty of Waitangi.
