Samoa's Prime Minister, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, says the prosecution against Malele Atofu or King Faipopo will go a head without him giving evidence in person.
But he said he would be called to the witness box if the Attorney General wants more evidence.
Speaking in his weekly radio interview Tuila'epa said he would only be needed to provide atomic bombs to add more into the police case.
The prime minister is the complainant in the case against Faipopo over alleged defamatory claims on social media in which he accused Tuila'epa of being involved in a plot to kill cabinet minister, Luagalau Leva'ula Kamu, in 1999.
The case is to be heard next month.
