The trust pushing for Auckland's new SkyPath says it is confident it will overcome an appeal against its planning approval.

The Northcote and Herne Bay residents associations and the Northcote Point heritage protection society say the proposed clip-on pedestrian and cycle-way for the Harbour Bridge will spoil their neighbourhood.
The groups are worried about the effects of increased traffic from vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, and the safety and security of their area.
However Skypath Trust project director Bevan Woodworth said they would enforce a residents only parking scheme to combat the traffic.
"We've had a lot of people come to us with reasons about why SkyPath can't succeed, why it shouldn't proceed and we've been able to overcome those challenges to the project and everything that I've seen to date, I'm sure that we can resolve these matters."
Mr Woodworth said they will now have to wait to hear from the environment court.
