A 67-year-old man has been seriously injured in a hit and run incident in Palmerston North this afternoon.

Police say he was crossing Grey Street about 12.30pm when he became involved in an argument with a motorist driving a black Ford Territory.
They say the 67-year-old then appears to have been deliberately hit by the car, which drove off.
The vehicle was found in Rangitikei Street a short time later.
Police are seeking information about the driver.
