The country's biggest KiwiSaver provider said in a statement it was making a claim to Inland Revenue on behalf of those affected.

ANZ said it expected those who had been underpaid their government tax credit would get up to $50 put into their KiwiSaver accounts by August.

KiwiSaver members receive a 50 cent contribution from the government for every dollar they put into the scheme, up to a maximum credit of $521.43.
