12.30 Joni Mitchell - Blue

Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell was twenty-seven years old when she wrote her fourth album Blue, which this week celebrates its fiftieth anniversary. Nowadays it's regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time, but at the time of its release ‘Blue’s bold themes were too much for some.

On the show this week we’re paying tribute to Joni with some archival audio of interviews, and some of our favourite Blue songs.
