1:15 What not to flush!
A couple of days ago an Aucklander was hit with a huge clean up job after a neighbour flushed nappies and wet wipes down the toilet, clogging the pipes.
The resulting mess has led Watercare to send out reminders to people about what the pipes can handle.
To tell us more and what can, and more importantly what can't, be flushed, is Watercare asset protection manager of trade waste, Peter Rogers.
1:35 Light bulbs for those in need
You may have seen some of the ads around - a call from well known New Zealanders to help with a campaign to give energy-efficient light bulbs to households in need.
The campaign has been created to help those kiwis who may be struggling to pay the power bill. More than 10,000 light bulbs have been pledged with the hope that $1 million could be saved over the next ten years.
One of the kiwis spreading the message is Malcolm Rands, founder of the eco-store.
1:35 22 years of Shark Week
We talked earlier this week about snakes needing a PR makeover, like sharks have had in the last few years.
One of the ways sharks are celebrated is on Discovery Channel's annual Shark Week, seven days dedicated to the great predators, which has been running now for 22 years.
We speak with this year's presenter, Andrew 'ET' Ettingshausen, a former Australian rugby league player.
