1:10 First song

Today's first song today comes visiting Australian singer/songwriter Ban Salter who is back, this side of the ditch, for the fourth time in as many years.  Ben is on a short tour and is playing us a track from his latest album, a song he wrote with Marlon Williams.

1:15 Could Standing desks do more harm than good?

We've been told by numerous studies that a sedentary lifestyle is bad for our health, and all that sitting down we do at work is not helping. To combat the effects of sitting around all day, many who work in an offices have started using standing desks and going for lunchtime walks.

But now there's research to say that standing may be the real worry - in fact it could even double your risk of heart disease.

We speak to Peter Smith, a senior scientist at the Institute for Work and Health in Toronto and the author of this research.

1:25 Fluffy the baby Great White Shark

Sharks are, admittedly, scary. But when a baby great white washed up on a Sydney beach, a crowd gathered to help the sea creature find it's way back to safety.

They even named the shark Fluffy!

Shark biologist Culum Brown is calling for this to become the norm, pushing against the idea that we should be afraid of the big fishes.

1:35 Twitter and the NZ election

One of the important tools politicians use to get their messages out there is Twitter. The social media giant has been tracking what the key political issues have been for New Zealand Twitter users over this election period.

Jesse speaks to the Head of Public Policy and Government for Twitter Australia & NZ, Kara Hinesley.

2:35 The history of NZ statues

An Auckland memorial to the NZ Wars has specifically come under criticism. This follows anger debate in other countries over the removal of memorials or statues with controversial histories.

Beyond the debate of whether to remove these memorials or not, is the question do many people actually know about these memorials?

Grant Morris from Victoria University looks at some of our statues of famous New Zealand historical figures.
