SHORT STORY CLUB
Our story for this week is Two Girls in a Boat by Emma Martin

Visiting Australian duo This Way North play our first song today. Leisha Jungalwalla and Cat Leahy are about to embark on a 7 date tour of the country and this is their second trip to New Zealand this year.
1:15 A plan for Auckland's teachers
Principals and teachers have released their own plan for tackling the short staffing crisis facing Auckland schools. NZEI Te Rui Roa President Lynda Stuart explains the urgent changes they're calling for, including pay increases and a plan to write off teacher's student loans.
1:25 Butter prices
Butter has hit a record high - $5.39 for a block. So what's behind this boost? ASB Economist Nathan Penny says it's all about what's in fashion in the foodie world.
1:35 Sound Archives - Our earliest recorded Māori radio broadcast.
To mark Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision has launched an online exhibition of the oldest recordings of a Māori radio broadcast, which was a hui held at Turangawaewae Marae in 1938 to mark the opening of a carved home for the Māori King Korokī and his family.
Sarah Johnston from Ngā Taonga plays some excerpts of this audio taonga.
1:45 Great album
We're featuring albums from 1967 this week. Today it's 'The Piper at the Gates of Dawn' by Pink Floyd.
2:10 Music critic, Kate Robertson
Kate reviews two new songs, Bellyache Billie Eilish and Up All Night by Beck.
2:20 Bookmarks - Rob Mokaraka
Today's Bookmarks guest is playwright, actor and poet Rob Mokaraka.
He's performing at the the Going West Books and Writers Festival in The Māori Sidesteps.
The performance is inspired by the humour and music of Prince Tui Teka, Billy T James and their more modern contemporaries, The Modern Maori Quarter.
The show charts the fortunes of five friends following their dream of a Maori show band.
Rob Mokaraka co-wrote the play and he talks to Jesse about the play and his past struggles with mental health.
3:10 Zoe Quinn: How Gamergate nearly destroyed my life
The internet had been Zoe Quinn's safe place. It's where she found a community as a troubled teen and where she made her career as a game developer. Then she became the target of one of the internet's most vicious harassment campaigns known as Gamergate in 2014.
Now she helps people who also find themselves on the receiving end of online abuse.
Her book is called Crash Override: How Gamergate (Nearly) Destroyed My Life, and How We Can Win the Fight Against Online Hate
