RNZ app alerts update:
The RNZ app’s latest update means push alerts are now more useful and more customisable.
New features include:
- Push alerts, when selected, lead to the story they are about rather than the homepage
- Users can select from a range of topics they want to get alerts about
The first feature is an automatic change that will apply to anyone running the latest version of the app.
Download the latest version:

For iPhones (requires iOS 9 or above)

For Android (requires Android 4.4 or above)
The process for selecting topics you want to receive alerts for is also straightforward:
1. Open the app and select ‘My RNZ’:
If your screen does not look like this, you are probably either running an older version of the app or using the website via a browser. Download the latest version to get upgraded alerts
2. Go to ‘Settings’:
