The Northern Marianas has submitted a $US38 million reimbursement request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to cover costs incurred in its battle against Covid-19.

The money represents some of the costs that the Commonwealth has already incurred for its pandemic response, including salary, overtime, and hazardous pay for front-liners.

Funding is required for the costs of test kits and other supplies like Personal Protective Equipment, gloves, and masks.

The CNMI has also requested for FEMA to fund the use of Kanoa Resort Alternate Care Site and Pacific Islands Club Saipan, which have been used respectively as an isolation facility and a quarantine facility.
