Trapping over the past month in Lami, Suva and Lautoka captured 248 animals, with rangers selling dog licenses during the day then trapping strays at night.

The animals were assessed by vets and healthy dogs have been neutered and put up for adoption.

Any unadopted dogs will be released where they were caught to keep other strays out of their territories.
