Campaigning in Palau is coming to a close ahead of Tuesday's general election.

Thirty-one representatives including a president will be elected to Congress for four years by about 16 thousand registered voters.
The current president, Tommy Remengesau junior, is running for his fourth term in office against his brother-in-law, Senator Surangel Whipps junior.
Senator Whipps said he could create more revenue and jobs for Palauans than President Remengesau.
"He advocates that everything is good, I say we no we can do better. I think he has done a lot of great things, I praise him for what he has done for the environment, but I know that we can do better and that's why I'm running," said Surangel Whipps.
Surangel Whipps junior said regardless of who wins the presideny he hoped he could continue to work with his brother-in-law to make a better Palau.
