Blodeugerdd: Song of the Flowers- An anthology of Welsh music and song
In 2009, Smithsonian Folkways commissioned Welsh musician Ceri Rhys Matthews to produce an album of Welsh music to coincide with Wales being the featured nation at the Smithsonian festival that year. The result was Blodeugerdd: Song of the Flowers. In January this year the anthology won the World Tradition category of the 9th Independent Music Awards (IMA) (Smithsonian Folkways SFW 40552)
