There are 961 new cases of Covid-19 in New South Wales today and nine deaths, and 779 cases and two deaths in the state of Victoria.

That was down slightly from NSW's 1007 cases and Victoria's 847 cases yesterday.
NSW Health also announced that 85 percent of eligible residents have now received a first vaccination dose and 59 percent a first dose.
Meanwhile, scenes of hundreds of people gathered at a park at Bondi Beach Friday violating Covid restrictions were "absolutely frustrating," says the Mayor of Waverley Council, as NSW Police confirm no fines were issued.
Images and videos posted on social media show large crowds drinking and partying at Biddigal Reserve on the northern end of the beach. Most of the partygoers were not wearing masks.
Mayor Paula Masselos said while the majority of the community were doing the right thing, there was a core of people who thought the rules did not apply to them.
"I'm certainly exasperated … It is really frustrating that there is a small group of people that is imperilling our community," she said.
Current restrictions allow for five fully-vaccinated people to gather outdoors.

Victoria has 779 cases, two deaths
Over the past 24 hours, Victoria has recorded 779 new locally acquired cases of Covid-19 and two further deaths, as locked-down parts of the state wait to find out if restrictions will ease.
The new infections were detected from 46,322 test results processed on Saturday.
It brings the number of active infections in the state to 8011, the vast majority of those acquired in the community.
Case numbers had been rising sharply, with yesterday's tally of 847 a record-high count.
There were concerns illegal gatherings for last night's AFL grand final could contribute to further spread.
Anti-lockdown protests held throughout the week have also led to fears of "superspreader" events.
Protesters gathered in smaller groups on Saturday, the sixth day of loosely organised rallies, before being dispersed by police.
There were 94 arrests on Saturday, 200 on Friday and hundreds more across the week.
Geelong, Surf Coast and the Mitchell Shire are on their seventh day of a scheduled week-long lockdown.
Health Minister Martin Foley yesterday confirmed restrictions would lift in Victoria's Surf Coast from 11:59pm tonight, but warned that the lockdown could be extended in Geelong and Mitchell Shire.
There were 34,280 doses of Covid-19 vaccines administered in state-run sites yesterday.
The latest federal data shows nearly 77 per cent of Victorians aged 16 and above have had one dose of a vaccine, while nearly 47 per cent have had both.
Meanwhile, Queensland has experienced a double-doughnut day after recording zero new cases of Covid-19.
It comes as authorities made another big vaccine push over a weekend of festivities across the state.
