One of Rupert Murdoch's most trusted British aides has been arrested again as part of the police inquiry into phone hacking at the News of the World newspaper.
The former chief executive of News International, Rebekah Brooks, is being held on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, the BBC reports.
She was arrested along with her husband, racehorse trainer Charlie Brooks, in a dawn raid on their country home.
Four other men were detained in the arrests in Oxfordshire, London, Hampshire and Hertfordshire.
News International has confirmed that its head of security, Mark Hanna, is among them.
Last July, Mrs Brooks, 48, was arrested under Operation Weeting last July on suspicion of conspiring to intercept communications, before being released on police bail.
None of the others had been previously detained.
News International is the British arm of Rupert Murdoch's global News Corporation. Among its publications are the Times, the Sunday Times, and the Sun.
