Black Cap strikes half century against West Indies

Black Caps squad member Will Young has scored a half century for New Zealand A on the final day of their tour match against the West Indies in Queenstown.

Young has struck an unbeaten 64 opening the batting, with the match declared a draw with New Zealand A 124/1 in their second innings.

Rachin Ravindra was the only batsman to be dismissed, bowled by Shannon Gabriel for 10.

New Black Cap Devon Conway finished unbeaten on 41, sharing in an unbroken 97-run partnership with Young.

The West Indies were earlier dismissed for 366 in their first innings in reply to New Zealand A's 308/3 declared.

Otago seamer Jacob Duffy finished with three wickets, with Central Districts fast bowler Blair Tickner taking two.

The two sides will start a four-day match in Queenstown on Thursday.
