Football World Cup organisers say they're happy with current ticket sales for the June tournament in South Africa, despite demand lacking compared to 2006 figures.
Sales are lagging behind those set in Germany four years ago, but the sport's governing body, FIFA, says this was understandable given the distance fans from Europe will have to travel.
FIFA says 1.2 million applications were received for tickets from 192 countries during the third phase of sales which ended last week, bringing applications to around two million for the total of three million seats.
Interest in the World Cup also appears to be growing among locals, which was previously a major concern for FIFA, with almost 1 million applications coming from South Africa.
In the most recent phase of sales, more than 50,000 applications came from the United States, another 41,529 from Britain, and those from Germany, usually a major fan base, were just under 15,000.
Six matches have been oversubscribed in all the categories of seats, including the final and two semi-finals.
