A 21-year-old man has appeared in court in Palmerston North, charged with the murder of university student Virginia Ford.
The 20-year-old, from Dunedin, was found dead in an apartment block in Palmerston North last Friday night.
The man, who has interim name suppression, appeared briefly in the Palmerston North District Court today and was remanded in custody.
He is due to reappear in the High Court at Palmerston North on 15 April.
