Mental health services in Hutt under review

12:08 pm on 19 January 2011

The Ministry of Health is reviewing mental health services at Hutt Valley District Health Board because of concerns about leadership and clinical management problems.

Radio New Zealand's health correspondent says an inquiry under section 29 of the Mental Health Act began last June.

DHB chief executive Graham Dyer says there have been resignations over the problems.

Findings from the review are expected to be issued in a few months.
