Police are making inquiries after a man who rode an e-scooter on the motorway in central Auckland was involved in a crash.
Police received reports of an e-scooter rider heading southbound in the northbound lane on State Highway 1, before crashing with a car near the Port Symonds St exit just after 4.30am on Monday.
"The rider was not present at the crash scene when emergency services arrived.
"He was found a short time later not far from the scene.
"He received minor injuries and inquiries are ongoing."
