Covid-19 updates for 15 November - all the latest on cases, vaccinations and alert levels

The Taranaki DHB offering a $20 voucher to everyone who gets vaccinated for Covid 19 until the end of the month.

The vouchers are being offered to maintain momentum gained in the last few days.

The incentive begins tomorrow and includes the main vaccination centres in New Plymouth and Hāwera, and all participating GPs, pharmacies and Māori health providers.

Everyone who rolls up for a jab - regardless of first or second - will eligible.

Currently, 87 percent of eligible people in Taranaki have had a first dose while the rate for the second is 75 percent (the national average is 90 and 81 percent respectively).

Taranaki Māori sit at 74 percent for first doses and 57 for the second.

There were 173 new community cases of Covid-19 reported today.

A death at North Shore Hospital was reported yesterday. The patient was a woman in her 90s and had Covid-19 as well as a number of underlying health conditions.
