A 31-year-old woman was arrested at the at the Oram Road checkpoint after she was identified as being sought over burglaries in Cambridge.
At the same checkpoint, a 63-year-old man was arrested after refusing to provide his details to police.
He will appear in the Pukekohe District Court.
At the Rawiri Road checkpoint, a vehicle was seen travelling through the freight lane at speed last night without headlights on.
The driver was stopped on SH2 and a search of his vehicle located a rifle in the boot, police say.
A 41-year-old man is facing charges including unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Almost 22,000 vehicles were processed at the checkpoints yesterday while 457 vehicles were turned around, less than half the number of the previous day.
Speaking at today's media briefing - where it was revealed there were just nine new community cases today - Director of Public Health Dr Caroline McElnay said 44 percent of the Auckland population has now had both doses of the vaccine.
More than 1.7 million doses have been administered in the Auckland area, and there have been more than 4.91 million doses of the vaccination given in total in New Zealand.
