DHB-employed midwives will do eight hour rolling strikes between Monday and Thursday next week, ending in a rally at Parliament.

Notice has also been issued for a 12 hour strike on 19 August.

DHB spokesperson Dale Oliff said the strike action is premature, and their offer is comprehensive and should be considered.

It includes an immediate $6000 salary increase and another $5600 a year after the deal is ratified.
