Three people are now in intensive care units in New Zealand hospitals because of Covid-19

In a statement in which it revealed there were six new cases of the coronavirus in the community today, the Health Ministry also said there were now nine people in hospital.

There are two cases in Auckland City Hospital, four people in Middlemore - which includes the three in ICU - two people in North Shore Hospital and one person in Waikato Hospital.

There are now 111 active cases in New Zealand
