Three healthcare workers in the Auckland area have tested positive for Covid-19 in recent days.

The healthcare workers are not believed to have been exposed to the virus at work and close contacts with the three have been stood down as a precaution.
All three with Covid-19 and those that are close contacts are being managed at home in self-isolation.
Today the Health Ministry confirmed 89 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of cases to 797.
Infection prevention and control measures are in place at hospitals and other sites to protect frontline staff, Northern Region Health Coordination Centre Dr Dale Bramley said.

"They are also part of our community and have the same risks of exposure as other members of the public outside of work," he said.
"We can reassure the public that the Covid-19 measures already in place at the city's District Health Board sites have minimised the risk for staff and patients associated with these confirmed cases. Our hospitals, clinics and other sites are safe to attend."
