The death of a woman at a rural property near Taupō over the weekend is being treated as suspicious.
Police said the 33-year-old was found with critical injuries on Saturday.
She was taken to Waikato Hospital but died the next day.
Police are trying to work out what happened in the lead up to her death.
"The woman's death is being treated as suspicious and enquiries are under way to establish the circumstances that led to her injuries," police said.
