A person has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a resthome in the Wellington suburb of Berhampore.

Emergency services say the car crashed into the side of the building in Rintoul Street.
They say a resthome worker suffered serious leg and ankle injuries in the crash and is being treated in Wellington hospital.
It's not believed the driver of the car was injured.
