Nearly 400 households in the Wakatipu Basin have now been without power for more than 30 hours.

Heavy snow damaged or brought down lines early yesterday, and although Aurora Energy has restored supply to more than 3500 customers, 360 in Glenorchy and 25 in Arrowtown have not had power since 7am on Monday.
Aurora said it could not say yet when they would get the power back on.
