Survivors from fatal helicopter crash still in recovery

Two people involved in a helicopter crash that killed one man in the Kaweka Ranges are still recovering in hospital.

The helicopter, with five people on board, went down during a commercial survey operation on Thursday.

Three people were taken to hospital - one man later died.

Hawke's Bay District Health Board said a man in his 40s was in serious but stable condition, and another in his 30s was stable.

Transport Accident Investigation Commission said the wreckage was moved to Napier on Saturday, and will later be transported to Wellington.
