A digger has ruptured a gas line in Auckland, disrupting traffic in the Browns Bay area.
Emergency services are at Beach Road, and the the Fire service said there's a rupture of 100mm in the gas line.
Power is out in Browns Bay while the line is being repaired, and lines company Vector said it should come back on about 2pm.
Police said traffic is building on Woodlands Crescent and Carlyle Road and encourage motorists to stay away.
They said the disruption will last about four hours.
