A Jetstar flight from Dunedin to Auckland that was delayed for 21 hours, stranding dozens of passengers, has finally departed.
The Jetstar flight from Dunedin to Auckland was due to depart at 4.30pm yesterday, but was cancelled because of engineering problems.
It was rescheduled to 1pm today, and after a 30 minute delay, finally left.
A Jetstar spokesman said the 124 passengers had the choice of accommodation for the night or a refund.
An Air New Zealand flight out of the city to Christchurch, due to leave at 8pm, was also cancelled last night for the same reason.
A spokeswoman for that airline said the 36 passengers were all rebooked on other flights.
